The sky is falling … again! Updated 31/12/16

This is longish, so please bear with me for a while….

Check these out first:

Matthew Chapter 6 verses 9 – 13 KJV Standard version
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
From the earlier 1611 version of the King James Bible:
9 After this maner therefore pray yee: Our father which art in heauen, hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdome come. Thy will be done, in earth, as it is in heauen.
11 Giue vs this day our daily bread.
12 And forgiue vs our debts, as we forgiue our debters.
13 And lead vs not into temptation, but deliuer vs from euill: For thine is the kingdome, and the power, and the glory, for euer, Amen.

Luke Chapter 11 verses 2 – 9 KJV Standard version

And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

From the earlier 1611 version of the King James Bible:

2 And hee said vnto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heauen, Halowed be thy Name, Thy kingdome come, Thy will be done as in heauen, so in earth.

3 Giue vs day by day our dayly bread.
4 And forgiue vs our sinnes: for we also forgiue euery one that is indebted to vs. And lead vs not into temptation, but deliuer vs from euill.

And here’s the Book of Common Prayer version

 http://www.bcponline.org/General/paternoster.html
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our tresspasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Notice the subtle changes, updated language and an extra ‘ever”. Nothing too spectacular. Several versions in existence and maybe more than the ones quoted above.

We learnt a version at infant school by rote, just like we learnt our multiplication tables. We never had a physical “hard” copy to look at and neither did the teacher, she just recited it from memory so if she’d remembered it wrong then we learnt her mistakes too. We learnt her version.

It wasn’t until I was given a KJV Bible as a gift when I was nine years old that I had the chance to read the “Lord’s Prayer” for myself and discovered the two different versions in Matthew and Luke which in turn were different to the one I’d been taught which was:

“Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.”

That, I learnt years later is a version of the version found in the Roman Catholic Catechism.

At the age of 4 and a half I doubt any of us had a clue about trespassing or what temptation was though I do recall seeing a notice in a field whilst on a family day out which read “Trespassers will be Prosecuted”.  I didn’t know what “prosecuted” was either but it was another big word and sounded very scary so I resolved to avoid “trespassing” at all costs till I was at least 11 and in the company of others.  Sorry, I digress!

I pointed out these discrepancies to the adults around me at the time.  The reasons attempted varied from “different churches have different versions of the Bible” to “the Bible was written in Old English and we don’t talk like that any more”.  The latter reason seemed reasonable.  Different churches having different versions left me wondering why but I’ll leave that for another day.

When I changed school at 11 there was another version to be learned.  “Them” had changed to “those” (more grammatically correct) and “For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever” was added.  No-one explained why though I did ask.  I got the stock answer when parents are fed up of kids asking too many questions “Because it just is!”

OK, so what’s the point of all this?

A couple of days ago I came across a comment on a website from someone claiming that his/her “timeline” had been changed because the Lord’s Prayer was not as he had remembered it and this was not the world he grew up in.  Eh? He or she was using this as back up to that “effect” that’s been orbiting the interweb for the past few weeks.  You know, the one named after a late SA president 😉  I re-read the comment several times and admit I laughed out loud then shook my head in disbelief that someone could not see the flaws in their thinking.

Yes, someone has at some time changed some of the words from what was originally translated into the KJV to the version which most are familiar with now.   It wasn’t done by magic yesterday. Many assume that all religious quotes in common usage must come verbatim from the Bible but they don’t! Unfortunately few of us read the Bible before we were indoctrinated by religious teachers and other religious texts.

To try to prove their point they quote Luke 17 v 34

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

because (presumably in his other timeline) they always believed it was originally two men in a field.  Uh-huh..

I wonder whether they bothered to check that passage out?  Probably not because if they had and had read the next two verses they’d have seen this:

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

What they’d originally believed was true and now they’ve discovered there were other examples of the same situation which presumably they’d never read or heard of before.  Different “timeline” or rather more recently acquired knowledge?

Here’s another interesting verse quoted by the same commenter to try to prove his point presumably: Luke 19 v 27 (Jesus is speaking in parables and I suggest reading the verse in context starting at v 12 ) “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.”  Jesus is relating what the nobleman in the parable said.  Jesus also said  in Matthew  5 v 44 “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

The commenter was again trying to prove their “timeline” had flipped because  Jesus preached “Love” and the Luke 19 passage seems to suggest the opposite when taken out of context.  On the contrary, it shows their ignorance and misunderstanding of what is actually written in the Bible.  Both passages are contained in the New Testament whether they’ve read them before or not.  From the evidence it looks like this is news to the commentor being discussed here.

That said, there are plenty of contradictions in the Bible but that’s not what we’re talking about here.

I’ve seen it alleged that familiar words have been digitally changed on the web which may be true.  However claiming that words have been changed “in the hard copy” can be checked by going to the original translations.  There are over 50 versions of the Bible in English so how do you know like is being compared with like?  Is admitting to a faulty memory better or worse than admitting you’ve fallen for a false meme?

A popular misquote such as “the lion will lie down with the lamb..”  does not mean a timeline change. It means someone misquoted in your hearing!  If you’d had to learn texts at Sunday School (guilty!) then you’d have read what it actually states in Isaiah 11 v 6 “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together..” Could be the confusion arose because there’s another text in Isaiah 65 v 25 where lion is mentioned in the same verse as lamb:  “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock:”    Hmm! Who knew learning all those tedious texts would come in useful at this late stage?

Somehow the unseen “they” had managed to change the posters reality when in actual fact its more likely they’d had a knee-jerk reaction to some video currently doing the rounds.

“Knee-jerk” – definition   a quick reaction that does not allow you time to consider something carefully.

Books get re-written and altered at intervals.  For instance Enid Blyton’s Noddy books were changed because they are not PC.  The titles of some of Agatha Christie’s books were also changed for the same reason.

I’ve just been back to see if anyone has pointed out the flaws in their comments only to find a small flock are now sucking them up. And people wonder why the world is the way it is. What happened to common sense? Don’t people think for themselves anymore? The Band-Wagon must be getting awfully crowded by now!

Only the gullible fall for the false memes so they become the target audience by default.  Everyone is on a different learning curve, I suppose, so its all cool. 🙂

The “Snow White” boat won’t float either!  Some are saying the words spoken by Snow White’s step-mother have changed from “Mirror, mirror on the wall” to “Magic Mirror on the wall” in another (weak) attempt to convince others of the “timeline change” malarkey.  In the original story by the Grimm brothers it is “Looking-glass, looking-glass ” which has been changed to more modern parlance  “Mirror, mirror“.  Then the film-makers got hold of it and in order to convey to their audience that the mirror was not a run-of-the-mill piece of equipment the dialogue was changed to “Magic Mirror on the wall”….

Any other films that do not appear to be as you first remembered them, think about this:-

Films get re-edited and re-released from time to time, just as books do!

And here’s a snippet about the Bearenstain Bears 😉

Updated 20/11/15 *Goal of “The Oneness Doctrine”: Kill Everything Oneness Cares About ~ ‘Splinter in the Mind’

Goal of ‘The Oneness Doctrine’: Kill Everything Oneness Cares About

Source

“Individuality in league with Oneness (not Oneness alone) will win the day and restore human freedom. The gospel of Oneness, all by itself, supports the New World Order. Proponents say it doesn’t matter if the world goes to hell in a hand basket, because after all, this world is an illusion and only Oneness Consciousness is real. If we know that, they argue, it doesn’t matter what happens, because there’s really no happiness or suffering, right or wrong, life or death, good or no bad — only the Oneness. So who cares?

I understand how people caught in the web of Eastern religion and New Age mumbo jumbo come to those conclusions. Their teachers’ purpose is to make them passive, “surrendered to the One,” their ego (personal selfhood) made into the enemy that must be killed. The teachers state it outright: “ego death” is the goal.

But that conspiracy-conscious people can fall into the same plight, instead of raising a cry for freedom and life in this world, came as a shock to me. I realize now it’s because Truth Movement leaders themselves sometimes combine the Oneness Doctrine with their research and information on the conspiracy. These people may have mystical experiences of their own that they trust in the way the religious trust their gurus, never questioning where they came from or why they were given to them.

The assumption seems to be that if it happened in my head and was accompanied by euphoria and fireworks, it must be true, and proof of the nature of the universe. But if the Illuminati extend to realms between visual perception (and evidence indicates they do – see my article series, Blowing the Whistle on Enlightenment), the Illuminati could be the source of much of mankind’s mystical experience. It’s easy for beings in the Unseen, adept at thought transference, to implant ideas in the minds of willing seekers, generating chemical changes in their brains and bodies and making them feel like they’ve been kissed by God. This would be particularly easy if the seekers have imbibed hallucinogenic substances.

I believe that well-intentioned, semi-depressed people are being implanted with messages that God has sent them to save the world. The urgency this produces gives their lives a particular sense of meaning. The message they receive is either that there is a war on among the Powers of Light and Darkness, which they must help fight, or that seeing through the illusion called reality and uniting with Infinite Oneness is the end-all and be-all of human existence. Both messages hold enough truth that they appeal to those who receive them as genuine. Both are so flawed as to point the receiver in the wrong direction, toward beliefs that favor humanity handing the universe into the Illuminati’s conniving hands.

The Light and Dark War of Principalities is nothing more than the Good Cop – Bad Cop Game taken to celestial levels. Like the eternal war between the Democrats and Republicans, it is unreal – a smokescreen designed to hide where the real action happens. Lucifer and Jehovah are on the same side: control of humanity. The “gods” and “demons” of Indianism are on the same side. As long as mankind provides the loosh (life energy) to the nether worlds through worship or suffering, all in the Fourth Dimension are happy.

It doesn’t matter if you call for help from Satan or Jesus, Krishna or Kali, you’re aligning your soul with the gang of brigands who have hijacked our lives by controlling us at our most intimate level. This control is not a takeover, but rather, freely given. Worshipers of their own accord give their lives to management by these beings, whom they regard as divine. They think in so doing they fight on the right side in the battle of good against evil. But all they do in fact is supply the life force, the loosh, needed for humanity’s hijackers to continue feeding off our hearts and souls.

Those who surrender their flawed human egos to the Oneness are no different. They, too, give their souls to management by the Fourth Dimension’s united company of tricksters. This is the point so many in the Truth Movement miss. We think that by making Oneness consciousness our supreme goal we are becoming pure. We think by embracing The Doctrine of Oneness we acquire supreme wisdom.

But the doctrine as it is taught today, even as the greatest Indian masters once taught it, is corrupt. The truth has been contaminated by the Fourth Dimension. Because the doctrine teaches that individual ego is a perversion of the Infinite, something that must be dissolved back into the universal consciousness for us to become wholesome and free. As such, that doctrine erodes the integrity of humanity.

It does so because it puts our world’s future up for grabs when it tells us to abdicate personal desire and intention as constructs of the ego. If we regard our individual nature as a corruption of Oneness, we conclude we must negate our ego to know Truth. We abdicate everything about us that makes us aware, decisive, will-exerting doers in this world – in favor of melting into the One, whose cosmic workings are thought to be automatic and perfect once humans remove their will and personality from the equation.

Whether or not the Doctrine of Oneness entails mantras and worship of gods, it is destructive. Because the doctrine is taught at the expense of the personality, the part of us that makes choices, that makes a difference in the world. When ego is taught as something essentially corrupt, or essentially unreal, it ceases to have value for us, and we naturally want to abandon it. This is exactly what the Illuminati desire from us, more than anything else we can give.

When we turn our backs on our ego, on the individual will and personality that is the very spark of the Infinite within us, we set our souls on the freebie shelf of the universe, to be absorbed or manipulated by Fourth Dimension entities. Our acts no longer appear to be our own – they feel like the work of forces moving through us. That perception is correct. But those forces are not the winds of Infinity, as the possessed assume: those forces are the egos of the possessors, who cherish this surrender of human selfhood.

By making the choice to regard all except the Oneness as flawed, unreal or insignificant, we turn over control of this universe to anyone who hasn’t abdicated their authority as a doer. Those are the only players still left on the field. This non-surrendered-ego group includes the Fourth Dimension band of brigands as well as those humans who accept neither the Oneness Doctrine nor the Doctrine of the War of Principalities – in other words, those who respect and retain their personhood and all its attendant faculties of will and desire.

I am not saying that Oneness, the Infinite Oneness that is the source from which we came, that place deep within us where we are all united, does not exist or is not important. It’s of supreme importance. The Infinite is the font of all life, all joy, all inspiration, all creativity. It is that which inspires us. It is pure genius. That Infinite, and our conscious connection with It, holds all the hope for our breaking out of the slavery we have let be visited on us materially and spiritually.

But to say It is the only reality, that everything except for It is a corruption of the Oneness – which is how the Doctrine of Oneness is perpetually preached – that is a perversion of the truth, designed to control us. If the Illuminati, functioning in the field of spiritual teachings, can get us to believe that we as individuals are illusory, that all we really are is the One, we will give up treasuring our will and desires as gifts of the divine, expressions of the Infinite, and throw them onto the waste pile as impure.

From that waste pile, they will be collected by the brigands who are able to use our abandoned will and desiring mechanism to achieve their own desires. When you abandon responsibility for your ego, which never can be destroyed since it is the stuff of consciousness, it is not the Oneness that takes over your personhood and absorbs it, it is other egos. The vulture-like, thieving egos who want to control all beings and bring them into alignment with their will.

When you surrender your ego, it does not dissolve as you have been promised, because the spark that you are can never dissolve. Your ego is either absorbed by the “god” you worship, increasing that entity’s personal power, or, if you do not worship a god, it is absorbed by any passing brigand who happens to notice that it has been abandoned. Ego = personhood = individual soul. This is soul-stealing, by permission.

Why can’t we all just dissolve into the Oneness? Because the Oneness didn’t make us individuals by accident, as some big cosmic mistake. We were created on purpose, as expressions of the joy of the Infinite. Just as a serene artist takes the joy in her heart and turns it into a fountain of expressions, each art piece revealing a unique aspect of her thoughts and nature, so the Infinite made us all unique expressions of aspects of its limitless self. It WANTS to see its oneness made into myriad shapes. It created the universe to be a delight, a mirror story of its own joy and greatness. Instead creation has slid into a nightmare, delight overshadowed by the misery and cruelty that comes of forgetting the nature of our inner being.

The flaws in creation are not because the Infinite individuated, but because its unique expressions – you and me – forgot our deeper nature, forgot the infinite power, bliss, and goodness that only can be located and tapped deep within ourselves in the place where we’re one with the Infinite.

The solution to our suffering is not to surrender our egos to the cosmic freebie shelf/ dump heap under the guise of awakening to Oneness. Rather, it is to bathe our personhood in the purity of the Infinite, to drink deeply of its waters, to melt our cares in its bliss and consciously become again what we are at core: pure molecules within that infinite ocean. From the bath, we return to the world and make it better, more joyful, more free, more inspired. We spontaneously grasp solutions to problems that eluded us before.

After enough bathing in the Infinite, it’s possible to move through this world and act here without ever leaving the consciousness that holds us in that embrace. The world becomes God’s ocean where we splash and cavort. That is God’s dream for the world – not amorphous, static Oneness. The amorphous is where God started from, and God found it boring. That’s why It created diversity, to play in. Because sitting being amorphous – simple Oneness – got dull.

Why would we make being “amorphous” our end-all and be-all, when it was the Infinite’s starting point, the very place it was endeavoring to emerge from in hopes of creating something interesting? Oneness isn’t interesting, it’s blissful. Just being blissful by itself gets old. Bliss needs to express in myriad creations to be fun and dynamic. It needs to desire, intend, make, choose, and act – all functions of ego. To say getting back to the Oneness is the whole point of life is like saying getting back to the first scene of the play is the whole point of the play, or getting back to the starting line is the whole point of the race.

The point is to run the race, play the play, dance the dance – and to do it in a way that retains contact with the consciousness that inspired the endeavor: the Infinite joy and oneness. When we learn to connect with the Oneness without abdicating the beauty and importance of multiplicity (variety), then will the purpose of creation be accomplished.

Then we will know how to dissolve the malignity that afflicts us. We will see that those who wish to control the rest are confused parts of our Greater Self. W won’t wish to destroy them but to help them. Our love, our inmost nature, will forgive and heal them. Then all God’s children will sport on the cosmic playground in laughter together – no more bullies and victims. No more battles and taking sides. No more stopping playing and being amorphous/ withdrawn in some corner. Life will be joy as we have not known it, for from the perspective of Infinity we will learn to dissolve everything that causes suffering here.

That is the divine vision, not destruction of one team on the battlefield, and certainly not the destruction of creation through abdication of personhood. But unless we awaken to the lies in the Doctrine of Oneness, the end of creation is what we promote. When the brand of brigands has consumed every ego in the universe through clever spiritual lies, it will be the proverbial snake that has swallowed its own tail. Creation will implode if that is allowed to happen.

We contribute to cosmic implosion when we accept the Doctrine of Oneness, striving for dissolution of ego into Oneness as our highest goal. The truly highest goal is Oneness expressing in joy in the forms of its myriad children, who make up the infinite garden of the world.”

Kundalini and Hell Fire – Any Correlation? ~ “Splinter in the Mind”

“Kundalini and Hell Fire – Any Correlation?
(August 29, 2010 at 12:39 pm)
Are kundalini and hell fire the same thing? Think about it a minute. Kundalini: the intense fire in the body that’s felt by people practicing advanced stages of yoga meditation. It’s explained by the gurus as an opening of the seven energy centers that are situated along the spine. The opening of each one supposedly correlates with greater spiritual power.

But what is the experience of people who actually have kundalini? Do they describe it as an opening to greater power? No, they typically describe it as “a feeling of being incinerated” or “eaten alive” or “I feel I’m being torn apart and there will be nothing left of me.” One person told me, “It feels like my ego is being completely destroyed, like God is murdering me.” These are not the descriptions of people opening to greater spiritual power – at least not power that is theirs to own or control.

Rather it seems that kundalini, as it is commonly experienced in its intense phases, is a kind of devouring. Who is doing the devouring? The gurus tell us kundalini is the life force, coiled like a snake at the bottom of the spine. They tell us to imagine the snake uncoiling and rising in our spine, and that this will trigger kundalini and resulting spiritual enlightenment.

Yet we know the snake is a symbol of the so-called gods who historically have sought to control the human race. We find it as a sacred symbol in the ancient Egyptian mysteries, in Hindu Shiva and Kali worship, and in other religious traditions. The gods and the snake have long been intertwined.

Is it possible that when a person imagines a snake uncoiling from the base of their spine, rising and undulating up their back, that they are actually inviting in another entity to possess them? Does “the snake” rise along their chakras (the spinal spiritual energy centers), devouring them and/or transforming them into the snake’s own energy system?

People experiencing intense kundalini describe it as fiercely painful, and they typically feel powerless to turn the fire off. The so-called Indian saint Amma (Ammachi), better known as “the hugging saint,” claims that her “enlightenment” was ushered in through kundalini so intense she had to submerse herself for hours in water for days at a time. When the transformation is complete, the seeker is said to have become a pure vessel of God, through whom the Infinite speaks and moves in the world. I propose that, in fact, the person is a vessel of something else – the snake-god they allowed to take them over.

My distrust of kundalini as something good is related to another thought that dawned on me recently: is the hell that supposedly exists for some people after death actually a seemingly perpetual experience of intense kundalini? Hell is said to be eternal fire, but how can a spirit burn in fire, when fire is physical and a spirit has no physical body? Surely the fire being spoken of is spiritual in nature, and what is kundalini except spiritual fire? It has its physical element, but is a physical body necessary for kundalini to burn? Surely it could burn an astral body (spirit) as easily as a physical one, under the right conditions.

Those conditions exist in the case of a person who dies and considers himself unworthy of salvation, a person so riddled with self-doubt and guilt that he never makes it to the heavenly worlds. Instead, he succumbs to the messages of dark spirits who visit him, feeding on his self-doubt and fear. They tell him he is damned, confirming his worst suspicions. They stage a “judgment day,” officially condemning the soul to the fires of hell. The soul accepts the scenario as truth, as the decision of God, totally believing he deserves to suffer for his sins.

And then the fire begins. The dark spirits start to feed on him. His chakras burn to the point where he desires oblivion, but there’s nothing he thinks he can do. He is getting what he deserves, he thinks, and is helpless to be saved. So he suffers, much like Prometheus in the Greek myth whose liver was devoured by an eagle each day, growing back at night, only to be devoured again the next day by the same eagle, on and on through eternity.

The scenario can be changed if the soul comes to realize that he himself is allowing the devouring to occur and that therefore he himself can stop it. No one can feed on him without his permission, a permission he granted when he judged himself unworthy of God and of happiness. If he changes his self-judgment, his fate will change as well. God’s love can only reach him when he opens the door.

If you have a loved a one who left this life afflicted with self-doubt and feelings of guilt, someone you’ve had dreams about being in a bad place on the other side, that person is very possibly in a very dark place right now and needs your help. Through the bond of love, your thoughts can reach this person wherever he is and talk to him. You need to reason with him about his self-judgment.

Ask if his belief that God has ordained his intense suffering makes sense. Ask him what he ever did that was bad enough to deserve eternal fire. Give him examples of other people who’ve done far worse things, and ask if he thinks a good and loving God would consign such a person to hell or if God would understand that person’s actions came from intense pain, and love and forgive him. Get the person to see that if he himself can feel compassion and understanding for such an individual, and would never consign such a one to hell, that surely God, whose love and understanding are greater than ours, would never damn such a person. And if God would not damn that hypothetical worse person, how could God damn your loved one, whose guilt is less?

Talk to your loved one as if he is there in the room with you, and reason with him until he can see this. Shout at him if you need to and tell him you will not allow him to sit here and rot like this. Tell him you are bonded forever, and that you need his help, from the other side, his influence in your life. Tell him the other people on earth whom you both love need him. Get mad at him, but get his attention. Tell him you aren’t going to stop coming around and bugging him until he gets good and fed up with his condition and decides to get over it.

Explain that if it clearly wasn’t God who put him here, then someone else clearly did. He has been had, deceived. Dark spirits who like to feed on self-doubting people took advantage of his doubt and convinced him he deserved to burn and suffer. Explain that once he grasps that, and realizes God doesn’t want him here, that he can walk away from the current arrangement. His mind is his prison, and the key is his own understanding. Like Alice in Wonderland, pursued by the Red Queen’s army, who sees the soldiers turn into playing cards and fall lifeless to the floor, so will your loved one find his nightmare dissolve when he discovers it all is caused by his own belief system. Help him see the illogic of what he believes about what he deserves, and he will become free. Even if he did some very bad things, explain that he has suffered enough now, that everything is forgivable when we are truly sorry. Explain that restitution for wrong-doing is not made by suffering but by returning to do good toward the people we have wronged.

When the one you love sees this, the chains will fall from his mind, and he will easily step out of the fires of hell or purgatory. I share this because of an experience I had with a loved one of my own. Reasoning out the truth of the human situation, and loving one another through the perils we find ourselves in, is the path to human freedom, whichever side of the veil we are on. No gods or channeled beings or gurus or saints are going to save us. All those entities have agendas of control and only pretend to be friends of humanity.

It’s up to us to stop looking to other-worldly beings for our answers, to assess our condition for ourselves, and to do something about it. When we stop allowing “spiritual entities” to determine the direction of our lives, we become spiritually mature – driving the vehicle of our own life, our own destiny. Then we can boldly say, with the poet William Henley, “I am master of my fate, and I am captain of my soul.””

Homegrown vs. Implanted Thoughts: How Susceptible Are You?

“A visitor to this blog who uses the handle “Pen Name” shared an anecdote in a comment I’d like to use as a springboard for discussion. She wrote how she once received a boatload of incredible insights that came one after another, she knew not from where. They seemed beautiful, and she wrote them down.

Taken together, they compiled, she thought, a book. Then she examined what she had written in light of her reasoning and experience, decided it was a load of crap, and destroyed the manuscript.

What do you make of that? Would you say she was unfairly letting her intellect rule her heart? Or should she be cheered for her action? Was obliterating the document a mark of courage and integrity or was it an act of self-judgmental foolishness?

Personally, I cheer for her. Here’s why. A lot of us are figuring out that we can’t trust people outside us for our answers. We’ve grown suspicious of gurus, religions, and spiritual teachers. We’ve come to believe that truth is within us, since we sense the divine there. We conclude that we only have to listen to our thoughts and feelings, and let those lead the way.

That conclusion demonstrates maturity, but I think it’s a conclusion that can be manipulated. Think about it. The off-world entities who stand behind religions, gurus, channels and most spiritual teachers, “guiding” with self-serving teachings that keep mankind ensnared – wouldn’t they be capable of speaking to you directly?

If you were one of the gods, concerned that the human race is waking up, that the sheep are about to jump the fence and be gone from your sheering farm forever, wouldn’t you make a crack at talking to the people who are starting to listen to themselves? Wouldn’t you psychically send some “insights” their way that might coax them back into the fold, thoughts that on the surface support their newer and wiser understanding?

I suspect no deity worth their salt would miss that opportunity, especially if the person they target has much influence on other people. The gods aren’t going to give up their One World agenda just because people are starting to listen within. They’ll position themselves to take advantage of the changed situation, to re-route the sheep and to quell the brewing rebellion.

Unless we take measures to psychically protect ourselves, there’s no way to tell at first flush if inspired thoughts are (a) our own intuition, (b) suggestions from helpful entities outside ourselves, or (c) deceptively wise insights from those who would like to get us back in the box. How can we tell which is happening?

First, we can take measures to protect the mind from unwanted outside influences. Second, we can examine our “visions” by the measuring stick of reason and what we know of the world. In other words, by the evidence and the way we’ve put it together so far.

When you add a piece to a board puzzle, you look at what you’ve already assembled and decide where to place the new piece in that context. The new piece may cause you to see that some of the pieces you’ve already placed are hooked together wrong. In that case, you backtrack, self-correct, and rearrange the puzzle in a way that reflects the information the new piece brought to you. On the other hand, the new piece may fit perfectly with what you’ve assembled, simply expanding your picture.

As long as we’re operating on a planet where manipulation is standard protocol, we should be alert to the possibility that the more we wake up, the greater the chance someone will personally target us for a detour. We need to evaluate our visions and ideas in light of the facts we’ve gathered and the way we’ve connected the dots so far. We can’t assume what we think is right because we feel it’s coming from a deep place.

That doesn’t mean allowing the inner critic to silence gut feelings or messages of the heart. It means listening to the intellect and letting it give healthy feedback. Relying too much on intellect and not paying due respect to instincts is as big a mistake as blindly trusting “intuitions.” Outside entities can ply us with intellectual objections that discount what we know on a deeper level, or they can woo us with false feelings. Letting heart and mind inform each other deflects outside interference and makes us come together as more integrated persons.

Challenging as it can be to examine ourselves like this, I think it’s part of the fun of the current adventure, and part of the skill set we need in making the shift from sucker to self-directed. In learning to walk the tightrope that leads to personal empowerment, we can’t give blind credence to either our feelings or intellect. Freedom depends on listening to both.

Alertness and questioning are key. It’s when the sheep start questioning their reality that they notice the walls of their pen and start to devise a plan for getting out. Fixating on any vision or idea and making that the template by which we evaluate everything else is myopic and self-defeating . We need to consistently question our assumptions, and review the puzzle as we piece it, always checking whether it still makes sense in light of new data.

People who commit to living this way grow and change quickly. You can’t stay in one place for long when you approach life curiously and critically. Once you get how to be open and questioning at the same time, you’ve come a long way in honing your tightrope ability.

Part of learning is listening to the views of the people we tend to discount or get triggered by. Our critics have more to teach us perhaps than anyone else. They help us see trouble spots in our own perspective. Then we either change to accommodate the new input or grow firmer and clearer in our original understanding.

An example of this happened to me when I read Tal Brooke’s Riders of the Cosmic Circuit. Tal is a former guru worshipper turned Christian. Years ago when I read his book, I was still into the guru game, and reading his radically different viewpoint on “cosmic experiences” and “enlightenment” was like being sound asleep and getting a slap in the face. It turned my world view on its ear, offering a totally different set of explanations for experiences I had always thought could only add up to one thing. I didn’t wind up sharing Tal Brooke’s word view (I’m not a Christian), but reflecting on his research and insights was transformational, making me rethink all my “givens” and helping me arrive at the insights I have today.

A word about psychic protection. You don’t have to be a sitting duck for mind manipulators. We all have control over what enters our consciousness. Entities dwelling in invisible frequency ranges may try to influence us, and if we have a non-critical attitude, they can access our wavelength. The antidote for this is to send out a message to the psychic environment about what we’ll allow and what we won’t.

The rules for myself that I’ve decided on and “posted” are that friends and family who’ve left this life are welcome to send thoughts, feelings or support anytime they like. I also invite input from “entities in the unseen who work for the freedom and happiness of all beings.” To me, that phrase describes exactly who I’m happy to receive ideas and insights from. Anyone not in those two categories is not welcome to influence me.

You can put this out there by consciously (with focus) making a statement to the universe that includes what you will tolerate and what you won’t. It can go something like “I happily disconnect myself from all entities, energies and programs that may be or are feeding upon me.” (Substitute “willfully” or “consciously” for “happily,” or otherwise change the wording to suit you.)

Once you post your standards of communication to the universe, the universe is bound to respect them. How can you know that? Because if your permission weren’t a key factor in entities being able to manipulate you, they wouldn’t go to such lengths to secure that permission. They require you to give it, even if only on a subconscious level.

In TM, for instance, elaborate seduction is employed to get the new initiate to kneel before a picture of Guru Dev. (See Where Have All the Flower Children Gone? and The Hidden Agenda of Mantra Meditation.) The kneeling appears to be necessary to activate the mantra, and without it or some other form of self-subjugation, the mantra probably wouldn’t work. The subterfuge and seduction are necessary because the will of the person targeted is so important. If free will (permission) weren’t a key factor, the New World Order would have been fully operational centuries ago.

Just as giving permission is powerful, so is removing it. You remove your permission to be psychically manipulated by changing your intention and declaring it, with full focus on your words, which you speak in a firm and unequivocal statement. Those who’d like to lord it may still look for opportunities to slip past your psychological radar in moments of negativity. When thoughts turn dark, become aware of the shift as soon as possible and make a conscious choice to adjust your thinking. The sooner you get out of the doldrums, the less chance unwanted entities have of moving in and squatting on your psychological turf. When you’ve slipped into a mood, repeat your “do not tamper” manifesto out loud a few times until you feel genuine emotion and will behind the words. That restores the boundaries of your psychic protection.

These tips are based on my experience and those of several friends. We find this works in keeping us on a level emotional keel and keeping our heads screwed on straight. There’s no rigid formula. More dogma is the last thing anybody needs. If you find these ideas useful, adapt them however seems practical to you. Feel free to share what you know and experience in the comment section below. The sooner we discover that the big truths must include the life experience of all people, the sooner we’ll learn to listen to each other and benefit from the insights of the puzzle-solvers around us.

May we all have fun with the adventure.”
